does the order in which we do the multiplying make any difference? Would we get the same result if we multiplied 2 × 3 and then multiplied that product by 5, as we would get if we multiplied 3 × 5 and then multiplied that result by 2? In other words, does
(2 × 3) × 5 = 2 × (3 × 5)?
