Lesson 1
The Powers of Numbers
A little exponent goes a long way!
Page 20
Why not? A multiplication may involve any number of factors.
3 × 4 × 5 × 7
= 420,
3 × 4 × 5 × 7 × 11
= 4, 620.
In the first case shown there are four factors. In the second, there are five. We can multiply by as many factors as we like.
Now return to Page 25 and try again.
