(43)/(41) = (64)/(4) = 16
If a number is to be written as a power of another number, it is written with the exponent shown explicitly. Now to be sure,
(43)/(41) = 16
but if we are asked to show the quotient as a power of 4, the base number 4 with the appropriate exponent should appear in our answer.
(43)/(41) = 4(3 − 1) = ?
