(32)(30) = 1.
Well, now, all you have to do here is to use the old rule
(bm)(bn) = b(m + n).
In this case, b = 3, m = 2, and n = 0. So you have
(32)(30) = 3(2 + 0) = 3(2).
Now 32 doesn’t equal 1, does it?
