You must have divided the entire number successively by 8, and then put the point in what seemed to be the appropriate place.
In fact, two operations were needed. You should have divided only the integral part . The fractional part of the number should be multiplied by 8.
If this is not clear, you should review Lesson 7. Then turn to Page 244 and try again.
